Ålö phasing out the production of cylinders

Earlier today, September 28th, the Ålö Board of Directors has started negotiations with the trade union about ceasing the production of cylinders at Ålö Cylinder AB. The reason is purely business related, as it has become more profitable to buy cylinders from specialized manufacturers instead of producing cylinders in such low volumes as done today.

The production will be phased out gradually, with a final stop of production by summer 2017. This decision will affect the employment of all employees at the Cylinder plant.
